Two days ago, I went on a run during my break from work. While I was running, I spent some time talking to God and I asked Him to teach me to hear His voice. I commenced working soon after my arrival at the restaurant where I work. Later in the evening, I heard a small urging in my mind to take an empty wine glass from a table. This was an odd request, since we usually do not remove cups of glasses from a table until the customers have left. I ignored the voice, and continued with my work of clearing dishes, filling water and cleaning tables. About ten minutes later, I heard the sound of glass shattering, and sure enough the very same glass I was told to take off the table had been accidentally knocked off. God gave me a dramatic example of His voice that evening, which I regrettably ignored.
